The First PSB Publication

The following four images are from a small booklet which was produced in the very early days of the band to raise funds. Whilst there is no price on the booklet it is reported to have been sold for six pence or possibly one shilling [240 pence to the pound and 20 shillings to the pound].

The name of the band changed from 'brass' to 'silver' sometime after the second world war. There is reference to 'a youth - Douglas Lloyd'. Sadly Dougie passed away early in 2005. Dougie was the last surviving founder member and kept a keen interest in the band's activities.

The booklet is a mixture of fact and poetic license. It would have been too fantastic for the author to think that the booklet could be seen anywhere in the world through the internet.
