As well as providing an entertaining program of brass music, Porthywaen Silver Band, and their musical director Mark Parry, have also invited Cantorian Rhos, under Aled Phillips, to perform alongside them. Mark Perry said: ‘It's a very exciting concert. The band really enjoys playing in the Parish Church and Cantorian Rhos are a fantastic choir.'

The band are expecting a large number of people to come to the concert, last year 800 tickets were sold. Porthywaen Silver Band Vice-Chairman Gareth Johnson said: ‘Last year was a great success, but we are hoping even more people come this year.'

A selection of Christmas Carols will be played by the band to give the audience a chance to stretch their vocal chords and light refreshments will be provided in the interval. Tickets for the event are £6 and are available from Oswestry Heritage and Exhibition Centre or at the door.
