Choir And Band To The Hit Right Note

Porthywaen Silver Band is hoping to banish the winter blues by hosting an evening of Festive Voices and Brass with the Fron Male Voice Choir at Holy Trinity Church at 7.30pm on the 2nd of December.

Band Chairman Gareth Johnson says: ‘We are very excited to be playing with the Fron Male Voice Choir. They are world-class and it is an honour to be sharing a stage with them.’ The concert is a unique opportunity to see the choir after their release of their fourth studio album ‘Voices of the Valley - Memory Lane’.

‘After our last joint concert,’ the Chairman continues. ‘We were eager to play with the choir again and fortunately they were able to accommodate us this year. The beautiful Holy Trinity Church should be a fantastic setting for a great concert.’

This caps a busy year for the band which saw them tour Belgium and take part in a number of concerts, marches, festivals and contests. ‘It is an ideal way to celebrate Christmas,’ the Chairman confides. ‘We are planning to end the year in style.’
